I trust all is well for you and yours.
Let’s talk about living downtown Las Vegas, NV. I do not have a crystal ball but I can tell you from what I see and know about Downtown Las Vegas it’s taking off. It’s had a very bad rap for a long time and actually still has some what of a stigma. The stigma of scary, dirty, gross, all those things that go along with nasty. Yes, it’s true, there still is a lot of filth. Yes, down right dirty and disgusting. BUT, it’s changing slowly but surely. It’s changing for the better. Much better.
Mayor Goodman did so much work to get good businesses to open up in the down town area. He worked really hard and made a lot of progress. I hope he feels his dream is coming true.
CEO of Zappos, Tony Hsieh lives downtown in Las Vegas in the Trailer Park called Llamapolis. I have not been inside the trailer court although I would love to have the opportunity to experience it.
Zappos of course is one of the biggest businesses downtown, there are so many new businesses and restaurants moving in too.
White castle will be opening soon, that restaurant alone is a HUGE positive for downtown Vegas.

This will probably be the major retailing event of 2014, but there has been little concrete information on what to expect from the enormous Shops at Summerlin development. The buzz about Macy’s, Dillard’s and a 6,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack signing on as tenants have learned they will also be joined by a five screen movie theater .
Built from the ground up and located across from the Red Rock Resort, the Shops have been broken down into 11 color-coded areas. Each colored district has a particular style.
Surrounding the shops are parking areas and, just like a village, (Summerlin is divided into villages, example, Vistas, Pueblos, paseos, ), each road or drive has been given a name, here they are: Festival Plaza Drive is the main street, per say , leading you into either end of the shops, joining Lavender Hill, La Madre Mountain, Sage Park, Summa, Park Centre, Market walk, Rosemary Park and Oval Park Drive. It will mainly be a walking-focused destination with enough architectural variety, foliage and shaded and cooled areas to encourage visitors to take their time as they meander though the districts.
I’m excited about this, we have been waiting. EnJOY
