I trust all is well for you and yours. Have you heard the news about a new Summerlin Village opening up? Oh my goodness. I’ve been living in Summerlin for over 19 years and I have to say this is one of my favorite Villages. It’s tucked up in the mountains. The views are amazing. The club house area will be Guard Gated. There’s going to be the standard big park areas like Summerlin Provides so well. Lush green trees and beautiful landscaping. There are so many wonderful things to mention about this Reverence Village. I LOVE IT and I think you will too. Call me anytime for more information or even better, let’s go shopping. When I first got into Helping clients buy and sell homes I thought to myself, It’s really important to remember how much work it can be to move. So many of us move in a home and stay set. As one lady said to me the other day, I’m never moving again, she was probably in her late 50’s and just has had enough moving around. She said I’m going to die in this house. Which of right now we don’t have to disclose if someone dies in a property.
My point of this blog is, I just moved. It was a great experience. I don’t have a lot of things, I am a minimalist. I will say tho, even as a minimalist, it’s a lot of work moving. I get asked the question from my buyers every single day, how safe is this neighborhood? I can’t answer that question because of course we all know that people come and go out of neighborhoods quickly. No telling who is moving in or out for that matter. I always recommend a few ways to come to a conclusion on this situation of knowing about safety.
- I always recommend that they visit the home they are interested in several days and during the night hours. We all know that different times of the day can tell a lot about the activity taking place.
- I also suggest going on to Metro’s Police Dept. website. It is: http://www.lvmpd.com
- There is also a site to check on sex offenders and where they live: Website: http://www.familywatchdog.us
- Many times I will knock on the neighbors doors and get to know some of the people that live inside the community. They are always a good source of information.
Of course you must always go with what feels right. If you don’t feel comfortable with how you feel about the house. MOVE on.
I strive to always make sure my clients are happy with their purchase. I have happy clients who are happy living in their homes. I will not allow them to settle for a place just because of needing a place to live.

How are you? I have been using the term food for thought and for the past 3 days others/strangers have also been using it. I find it fascinating when I’m talking with someone or thinking of someone and they start talking about what I’m thinking. The power of thought is pretty amazing. Which brings me to the thought of Real Estate. You and many others think about Real Estate a lot I bet. Whether it’s how much is my house worth? Should I buy a house? Should I sell my house? What about the school district, are we in the right one now? Do I want to live closer to work? Should I buy a bigger house to have some other family members move in with me? Choices are wonderful. This is why I say, if you are thinking Real Estate call me and let’s think together. My high amount of contacts with buyers/sellers/other agents and the marketing on the Internet is outrageous. I have been helping people buy and sell in the Las Vegas, Summerlin, Henderson, SW, NW and North Las Vegas for over 15 years full-time and I know the market, I know how buyers and sellers work. This is my business, I am in the business of buying and selling homes. I am not a banker, so I don’t do loans, I am not a Doctor, so, I do not do surgery. I am a REALTOR, I help in selling and buying homes for my wonderful clients.
Do you enjoy working with Legal documents? Do you really want to be responsible for the documentation that is required by the state of NV for selling a home in Nevada? It’s a lot of work. NO JOKE.
The paperwork involved in selling and buying a home has increased dramatically as the Las Vegas Real Estate industry disclosures and regulations have become mandatory. There are so many new forms and disclosures becoming part of the transaction, it is very important to know exactly what is required.
It’s not the case that you will save money selling your own property. And, really, who will benefit the most if you are the seller trying to sell your own place? Believe it or not, it will more than likely be the buyer. Honestly, selling your own home sometimes doesn’t make sense.
