Once every three years, the Federal Reserve conducts their Survey of Consumer Finances in which they collect data across all economic and social groups. Their latest survey data, covering 2013-2016 was just released not too long ago.
This survey revealed that the median net worth of a homeowner was $231,400 – a 15% increase since 2013. During the same time, the median net worth of renters decreased by 5% ($5,200 today compared to $5,500 in 2013).
So the bottom line is that the numbers reveal that the net worth of a homeowner is over 44 times greater than that of a renter.

The “American Dream” is to own your own home, it’s also a way of “Saving” due to the growth in equity of the home. That is considering your home is going up in value.
Many people don’t invest in anything more than their home. They don’t save money, they don’t have CD’s or entertain the idea of investing in the stock market.

The Clark County area is growing so fast. Las Vegas continues to have so many attractions for everyone of all ages to come and enjoy. Most people who live in Vegas greatly appreciate our amenities. The list is endless of fun and exciting things to do. The shows on the strip, the night life of Vegas. We almost have it all, only thing really missing is the Pacific Ocean, that problem can be solved easily, hop on a plane or jump in your car and in a few hours you’re there.
As far as Summerlin goes that is no surprise to me. Summerlin is an amazing Master-Planned Community. It has wonderful schools, walking trails, beautiful homes, it’s near Red Rock Canyon, Downtown Summerlin has amazing shopping, a movie theater, lots of restaurants and is very family oriented.
The Lakes is located very near Summerlin, it is a bit more established. The houses maybe a little less pricey than Summerlin and the location is amazing. Again, situated near shopping and restaurants. They too have lots of walking trails and the trees and vegetation are nice and mature so it’s really beautiful. Yes, it’s called the Lakes because they have man made Lakes within the community.
I have a secret about Tule Springs, builders have bought up over 18000 acres and will begin building soon.

We need more sellers. It’s the time to sell and buy here in Las Vegas. Many people are selling and purchasing another place, either bigger or smaller depending on their personal needs. Many other sellers are selling their homes and just cashing out their proceeds and either renting, moving in with family or leaving town.

When half the homes on the market are suddenly marketed as “luxury,” the definition of the word starts to not have too much meaning of importance to the word. “Luxury” real estate is defined differently across different markets, as property values, median resident income and area development varies widely depending on the metro area. We all know a home in Beverly Hills that sells for $2.5 million may be called a luxury while some builders in Las Vegas, Summerlin and Henderson are selling homes in the low $400’s calling them Luxury.

The median rent price in Las Vegas Metro is $1,300-$1400 which is the same as the Nevadan median price of around $1,350.

just a fun fact blog today, cause everything in my life is related to Real Estate in some way shape or form. For example: as I sit here blogging about Las Vegas Homes for sale and what is important about what my readers want to know about our Las Vegas market. Yes, I’ve seen housing the same color as my skittles. Many of them actually. Most of these homes are located in housing areas that have NO HOA’s.
I just opened a little pack of bite size skittles. Really never paying attention to anything but the love of them and how they make me happy. I glanced down to see the pretty colors sitting there. I was struck with wonder, how many skittles are there in this little package, and really what flavors are they?
13 were in this pack. I’m going to go get another lil package and see if there’s 13 in all the packs or if the number varies. There were more green apple bite size candies in this group.
