The largest municipality by population in Nevada is Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is the most populous city in NV and an internationally renowned resort city known for gambling, shopping, fine dining and its nightlife, Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, low housing prices and beautiful weather. Also known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas is quickly transforming into a popular family and retirement city as well and it is now the 31st most populous city in the state. In 2016, the city has an estimated population of over 600,000 residents.
The population does not include North Las Vegas, Henderson or Green Valley. Summerlin is considered Las Vegas, it has not become it’s own town per-say.

March, can you believe it’s already the month of the Irish Jig? I’m so excited about St. Patrick’s Day. As you know, my last name is O’Brien so I’m IRISH and very proud of it. My great Grandparents did move from Ireland many years ago due to the potato famine, they moved to Iowa, I moved to Las Vegas in 1997. I can’t imagine how stressful those days had to be.
This day in age people are still going hungry, which I can’t imagine that either. With all of the wealth in the world really how can be ignore and turn on heads to hunger? We can look away but we can also be fully present and still and notice how others are suffering. I’ve tried going hungry, I mean really hungry. I couldn’t sleep, I was cold all the time, I was tempted to eat because I knew food was available and I wouldn’t starve. It’s rough and awakening at the same time.
I didn’t mean to be a downer in this blog, it just happened and really was I being a downer or stating the truth.
If I was blessed with bagful of gold, I hope I could share my story of sharing and caring for others. I do try to help out but I know I am truly not doing enough.
